Information on 20 ft Shipping container from Brisbane to Davao

Hi I am moving to Davao from Brisbane (Australia) and wish to send all my household goods in a 20 ft shipping container.
I would appreciate any advice or insight into how to do this. Also what is and where would i contact a custom agent to release the container in Davao. Please advise of the pro's and con's of doing this. I have been quoted $4,900 to do this which would be cheaper than replacing everything as long as i am not stung (taxed) to bad at customs. PM me if you have a better option
