Hi,

Just looking for some feedback on shopping in Casablanca.
Looking for find out where locals shop to get the best deals and selection on the following items:

1.  Gold jewelry (14K to 22 k)
2.  Spices
3.  Oils ( For hair and eating)
4.  Moroccan dishes
5.  Moroccan slippers
6. Silver jewelry (S925)

Also curious if anyone thinks there are better cities/ places in Morocco to buy each type of items as I have not 100% confirmed where in Morocco I am planning to go so have some flexibility.

I was planning to go to Marrakesh, Agadir, Safi, Essaouira, Casablanca.  But may be possibly heading to North East Morocco for a bit.  I am going to be driving so I will have room in my car to buy things I plan on taking back with me.

I don't want to shop in tourist areas as prices are usually not as good.

I guess you already know and you answered the main question because as u already know every city had it own specialty for example dishes it's asfi or safi and silver jewelry it's tiznit spices it depends on the region of course but basically it's the same where ever you go except for zaafran you can find it in taliwil . Oils it depends too olive for example every region but it's the the same Argan it's agadir saouira all that region Moroccan slippers where ever you go in the kingdom cause every region has its own style

Thanks for the additional feedback.
I am only going to be there for a short amount of time on this trip and I am looking to get  some stuff.  I am very picky and have had bad luck trying to explain to my husband what I am looking for.  Especially with regards to jewlery.  I had him looking for some styles/ designs of gold jewelry and it was a frustrating experience.
Also because I dont speak Arabic and need my husband's help to shop I have to be efficient when shopping because my husband is not going want to spend hours shopping for things like jewlery, women's shoes and dishes.
