Mdec VDR approval

I'm indonesian recently hired by bpo in Malaysia. The company said already submitted my application from 15th January. But until now still pending approval from MDEC for VDR

Tommorow is already 1st of March
Is this normal for taking this long? The company is using agent to apply. Is there anyway i can track my application?

This is quite normal time frame. You must have already done your medical which is a good sign.

MDEC doesn't have a tracker anymore since they updated their website.

There used to be a  DP10 / DP11 employment pass tracker via imi.gov.my if you do an internet search. Not completely sure if it still available.

The EP approval is at immigration but the VDR is processed by Home Affairs Ministry. That's because the latter liaises with consulates and HCs abroad regarding collection pre departure. The Approval Letter cannot be issued until the VDR has been authorised

normally, it will take 3-6 month if the process to be done. you will get an email for the result later.
