Dear All,
I am from India, a company offered me 25000 RMB per month, monthly tax will charged around 1500 RMB due to some allowances.

Company offers free of cost.
1) rent and bills(electricity, water and gas)
2) 15k RMB per annum health insurance.
3) to and fro air tickets yearly once to India.

I am survived with wife and single parent. Does anybody help me wether this salary is enough to save some money? And medical insurance cost for single parent? Is it  really worth. In India I am earning around 31000 USD yearly.

Yes, this is a very good salary. Yes you and your family will be able to live comfortably on it. The chances are that you will live far better on this salary than what you had in India.

Now, please take note that you will not be able to afford a Lamborghini on that salary. But, it will be more than adequate to live off. You will have enough left over to save, or to use for recreation and to eat out at different dining establishments.

Many locals will be able to eat and live most comfortably for under 5000/month. The needs of expats are more inclusive, so you need to take into account your weekly banquet, your daily Starbucks coffee, the fastest speed internet, and other perks that Westerners take for granted. At this, 25K is quite reasonable.

I agree you cannot buy expensive things for this salary, but you can live in peace and feed your family. This option is better than India, an ideal opportunity for you :)

Vannrox , thanks for the reply. Can I know medical insurance for single parent ? Because company provides insurance for me and my wife.

Thank you very much. And can I know what is rent cost for one 1 bhk in pudong Shanghai. I mean normal apartments

Had you been a bachelor I'd have said it would be pretty good, not fantastic but still good.  However if you are supporting your wife + a child(?) on that salary.  It's enough to live but don't expect to have a great quality of life.

I'd say you would probably be better off with $31,000 in India if you enjoy it more.   You will be able to survive on it though.

Thanks Matty, I am survived with wife and mom. Only thing they provide me apartment and utility bills apart from salary. I am worried about health insurance for mom.

@Balu22

I do not know about insurance. I pay everything in cash. I have had some serious medical emergencies that included brain surgery, stomach surgery and other surgeries. They ran the gambit from 6000 RMB up to 200,000 RMB. If you can get insurance, then by all means get it. Otherwise, make sure that you save money in case of an emergency.

Hospital visits, and medicine generally are not expensive.

Traditional Chinese medical and medicines are also cheap, but you will need to set a side a few hundred RMB for what ever care you get.

Thank you very much for your information. Does we get foreign medicines in china. suppose my mom needs some insulin. other than chinese medicines?

Nanny 4 U

Hi, of course there are western meds in Shanghai, and in anywhere China, including insulin. And it's definate not expensive as my mum is also having diabetes. normal medical insurance for foreigners is just around 5000yuan per year. and the rent for family of 3 can be various from 5k ~ 20k per month depends on which area u r living in.
