Hoping to make some friends & learn Arabic

Post new topic

Hi Everyone

I am fairly new here in Riyadh  & I'd like to know where I could possibly learn conversational Arabic?

I'd also like to know what other ladies do here for fun & to make friends?

Any info would be awesome, thanks :)

Welcome to the blog Tisch. There are many lady members here and I think they can help you out. Enjoy your stay here in the Kingdom and I hope you gain more friends. Cheers.

Welcome to the blog!
You can learn conversational Arabic by indulging in light conversations with a multi lingual person.

I dont know if i am allowed here but i would say

AHLAN!

Hi Tisch,

welcome to Riyadh.
I'm saudi and i'm ready to make u speak Arabic fluently just like one of us Lol...

You can go to one of mall like Panorama,Ryad Gallery & kingdom centre

If u have children there are many places for them

Feel free to ask anything & welcome again.

Tisch

Thanks everyone

I'm hoping to attend some classes though, I realise this will have to be with a woman (as it's Saudi). I'm wondering though what else the women get up to other than going to malls. I've been to most of the malls now, & although I LOVE shopping, I need something other than shopping to keep me occupied...

Hello Tisch!

i can help you with Arabic if you want as i have been teaching Arabic to non-Arabs since 2003, though i am a male, but you can attend with your husband or someone you trust.
you can see me ad on this website as follows:
"I can handle any level of Arabic. I have techniques that make progressing steps easier for learners. I have a Modern Standard Arabic course for beginners. I also have a Syrian dialect course. I've studied Comparative Linguistics between Arabic and English so I know how to match Arabic with English to facilitate the learning process for learners.

I have been teaching Arabic since 2003. I have experience in teaching Arabic at any level whether standard, formal, or colloquial. In Syria and here in Saudi I've taught people with different ages. I believe I have something to give. I have a talent for conveying ideas to learners. And the most important thing is: I love Arabic and I enjoy teaching it and sharing it with others.

I have spent four years in Syria and another four years in Saudi teaching Arabic to non-Arabs. I've taught people from all around the world, people from age 18 to 68. I've taught beginners starting with the alphabet, and I've taught people with a high level of Arabic - those who spent years in Arab countries- and I explained old poetry and current political articles, and all levels between that.

from my experiences it'll be more fun for you to meet and hang out with ppl who are Multi/bilingual like what SaQiB said, where you get more excited to plan where to meet up and what exact u'd like to learn from the language and maybe come up with more activities during your learning process and other ladies can join to :)

good luck dear
