Hello everyone,

It's really nice to hear about other people's experiences and know that there are many of us who are going through the same things.
Me & my partner's application for an MVV began april 3rd. We're still waiting on an advice. I'm trying to stay as optimistic as possible as we've been waiting for so long to finally get together and stop with the long distance.

Is there anyway we can know how much is left to get an advice ? it can be very frustarating sometimes, all the waiting. and when we call the IND they can't provide any info about the application progress level.

Also, would it matter if I use my passport to travel somewhere else ? since when we apply for the MVV you have to scan your passport's front page and all stamps in it. Does it matter if a stamp would be added to it later when we finally get the advice. I just tend to over worry about the little details because I think it more difficult for some countries.

I wish the best of luck for everyone. I sure know how hard it is having to be seperated and just waiting on a decision that's out of your hands.

Best regards.

Hi and welcome to the Forum.

MVV can take up to 90 days before you get a response.

There is no restriction on you travelling anywhere else except the Netherlands.

Hope this helps.

Hi everyone,

I’m also in the same sort of situation. I just wanted to clarify this issue of traveling to Netherlands. Our process is going to take some time because I still have to write the exam, and pass of course. So, I’m planning to get a visitor’s visa to visit her in Netherlands for couple of weeks. Do you think that’s an issue to have the visa on my passport in the mean while then?

I think you can do that. Unless you applied for an MVV.

Once you apply for an MVV, you can not be in the netherlands until the decision is given.

This is what I know, you can further check.

Hi,

No you can't visit the Netherlands while waiting for your MVV result. You won't get a visa, just wait for the decision is been made.
