Dear expats,

my partner and I are considering to move from Europe to Singapore.
I have read already about the S-Pass to get working rights.

However, my partner has studied Pharmacist Assistant (Advanced Diploma) 3 years full time.

The questions is: Is my partner eligible to apply for a different job/occupation, for example as a Waitress in Singapore?
The reason is, to work as a Pharmacist Assistant in Singapore is not so easy because of different certifications.

Is this possible to apply for a different job as your occupation?

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

beppi

You (and your partner) will only get a work pass for Singapore if the authorities are convinced that this will benefit Singapore, in any (mostlky economic) way.
As a rule of thumbs (with exceptions for rare skills or sought-after professions) this means three years applicable work experience and a job which no or few Singaporeans can or want to do.
Waitressing without experience will probably not work.
