Hello everyone,

Moving to Portugal is an exciting opportunity to discover a new culture and try things you might not even have heard of before. To make sure other expats and expats-to-be do not miss a thing, would you be able to answer the following questions on activities not-to-be-missed in Portugal?

What are the activities everyone must try at least once in Portugal?

What are the activities that one should partake in if they want to discover the local culture?

Are there any activities that are characteristic of Portugal?

Do you have an anecdote to share about any of the activities listed above?

Please share your experience,

Priscilla

Bom dia,

I can contribute with news from central Portugal and, for the "local culture" section, I would recommend :
Mercado Medieval de Óbidos 2019, Medieval Fair of Óbidos 2019
from 18 July to 4 August 2019,

Only from Thursday to Sunday

Obviously in Óbidos, a village you must visit at least once.

In the "sports and games" section, under trekking, I suggest registering for the walks of Caminheros do Litoral public group: they organize wonderful excursions to discover hidden gems, in excellent company, off the beaten track.

Routes of different difficulty, packed lunch or in lunch at local inns (indicated in the appointment)
For all ages: from children to grandparents, each at their own pace.

What did I like? The four-legged friends can come with us.
We always make new friends.
We are getting ready...
