Dear all,

Can we get job in Oil and Gas fields through Job seeker visa?
Are they recruiting indian nationalities?
which part of the germany has more projects is running?
please suggest me.

There are not many oil or gas fields in Germany and those few are nearing depletion - jobs are thus a small (and shrinking) niche. See https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erd%C3%B6 … eutschland

This hardly exists in Germany and they are not recruiting anybody none the less people from non-EU countries. maybe consider countries that are major oil and gas producers! That someone doesn't know this might make one question what they know about the field. And I have to wonder if anybody in India has ever heard of Google? Seems the most obvious things that would be found over it are constantly asked here by Indians, and even ones that claim to be in the IT field.

Sorry but the post from peerush17 is misleading. Maybe it was meant in sincerity but it is just a superficial statement that might give false hope. He suggests that you look at job sites like Indeed.de etc. This is a rather obvious but correct strategy. But what will one actually find there?! I looked at Indeed and entered gas and oil and then I entered the region of Baden-Württemberg as an example. Was there some search results listed? Yes. Were any of them actually for job in oil or gas fields? NO! There couldn’t be since none exist there. One has to understand such a search looks for keywords. What came up were, for example, mostly jobs at a company called Voith. This company builds things like turbines and equipment used for industrial purposes like paper manufacturing and yes some things for the oil and/or gas industry.  But these are NOT jobs in gas fields. They were mostly jobs for things like managers or comptrollers. Sorry, but finding something like an accounting job at a company that ships parts or equipment to companies that might have to do with oil or gas is not the same thing as an oil field job.

Using Indeed.de for example, one would have to enter each and every one of the German regions to be thorough. And yes, maybe something related comes up, so why not at least look? But like already pointed out, this industry is almost insignificant in size compared to the major oil producing companies where the more obvious opportunities are going to be, so don’t get your hopes up too much based on such a post.

Maybe peeyush17 could possibly post some links of the said jobs?

Cynic

The only oil field I was ever aware of was in the north of Germany, just off-shore near a nature reserve; I was only aware of it because it was brought ashore in a town called Brunsbuttel where I happened to be working for a couple of months.  This was circa 30 years ago, I'm not sure if it still produces anything.

I was pointing out Oil & gas (in the piping designing field).
Few hours of search., I got the list of companies and consultants working on the same,

Ferchau Engineering
Modis GmbH
Dosign
BASF
Technip FMC
Georg Fisher
GULF
Jacobs
M+W group
Tintschl AG

I know some of the companies you mentioned - and none of them works solely, some not at all in Oil & Gas:

Ferchau Engineering - general engineering services, mainly automotive (could have a small niche in oil & gas)
BASF - chemicals (probably buying oil & gas products)
Georg Fischer - Swiss piping, casting and machinery fiirm (may supply some oil & gas companies)
Jacobs - coffee and tobacco (Is there another company with this name?)
M+W group - engineering and construction (no involvement in oil & gas)
Dekra Arbeit Group - testing and technical services (may have some dealings with oil & gas companies)
Wacker Chemie - chemicals and silicon wafers (probably buying oil & gas products)
Hays - general headhunter
TRS staffing - general headhunter

Some of these companies are not specifically having gas or oil fields but seem to have related or similar industrial type jobs than ‘might’ require similar job skills.  If you really want to work in Germany rather than in the more obvious oil producing regions I guess these would be the places to consider. If it were me, I would try to pin them down for more information about what kinds of jobs are available and what qualifications they require. A “oh stop by and we’ll talk about it attitude” is not very reassuring in consideration of the effort you will have to make to actually show and do such interviews. I would be very open about coming on a job- seeker visa. Then they know you are legally allowed to take a job but they will also realize the effort it would take on your side. Thus giving more specific rather than vague information about jobs would be in order even if they are not concrete jobs offers in discussion.
