Translation of Certificates

Post new topic

John Fernandes

Hello All, I need to translate all my school and work certificates in German. I am expecting it to be expensive, but any suggestions would be helpful. Thanks a lot.

Just start by looking locally which translation offices are available. For official purposes like for visas etc. one always needs to hire a certified translator. Forget that one can find someone uncertified on the internet for a fraction of the cost because that doesn’t come in question. I don’t know that there are really any discount certified translators but you can always look with Google. The fact is that immigration and the paperwork associated with it are an investment.

Sometimes certified translators give a discount if you pre-translate your papers yourself and they only need to go through and correct your German text - which is less work for them. It is worth asking!
