hi better u take lion air or so airlines which is really really cheap and then once u reach there u could by a EZ card for 8 sing dollar, (but dont lose card it has a deposit of 10sgd which u get back when u return it)  and u can travel as much as u want on metro rail and buses there, nothing will compare to it, and food are really cheap especially in little india, and most other places u can find hawker stalls,,, also for ur info there are many ph, there which if u can find may help you even with accomodation and also could find cheaper dormitories there. actually couple of days is enough for u to tour around and better if u have 3 days, more than that will be bit boring, and get a company if u can.. there are also maps and Conducted tour promos at airport information counters at terminal dua, which is quiet extensive.........  dont worry the service there is good, only be carefull of the legalities which is pretty strict,,, they took away so many things from baggage which they told is not allowed to carry,,,, mmm what to do, lose it
