I really don't know where to turn.  My wonderful next door neighbors were from Germany and we made this wonderful bread together last year.  Sadly, they have moved back to Germany and I just can't remember "how" we made it.  I have the recipe, IN GERMAN, and I am desperate to have it translated so I can make it for Christmas Eve.

Can anyone help me?

I would so appreciate it!

My e-mail address is: IrishLife2@aol.com

Thank you so much!!!

Ginny Morris

The recipe is below:

Christstollen

Zutaten
500g Mehl
3 Teel. Hefe
200g Sultanien (in Rum einlegen)
80g Zucker
1 Vanillezucker
100g gehackte Mandeln
50g Zitronat
50g Orangeat
125g Margarine
ca. 1/4 l Milch
2 x 100g Marzipan

Zubereitung:
Hefe in lauwarmer Milch mit 1 Teel. Zucker anruhren.
1/2 Stunde gehen lassen, nochmals ruhren.
bestauben.
