Anyone experience having to use the legal system as an expat? Good experience or bad? Any firsthand advice?

I've used them to help me file forms and such.
Mine has been very helpful and easy to work with but if you're talking about suing someone or criminal law then I have heard it's very difficult and can take a long long time. But sometimes it can be necessary unfortunately.
