switching of visa from company to direct hier

assistant professor: i been here for 6 month, working for university through company but university said go for final exit we ready to give university visa. in this regard when i asked provide me visa letter or offer letter before going back. university administration refuse with words " you don't need anything from here, once you get back you ll get all documents from you country's culture office"
i am bit confused without any paper how can i go to culture office
please guide me accordingly ...
