hello all ,

i am a non-EU citizen working in brussels from last 2 and a half years as a consultant from an indian consultancy company.
recently i have got a new job opportunity, i have signed the contract and resigned from my current position. Now my employer is asking me to come back to india in order to serve the notice period.

my single work permit process has already been initiated.
now i am really having some tough time to decide that what are my possible options.
my current employer is asking me to dereigister as well in the commune, which means i will have no rp card anymore.

can you please suggest me what i can do in these conditions?
can i refuse to deregister , and keep my rp card with me?
as the notice period may go upto 2 months , will it still be possible for me to come back using the old rp card and get the single permit to resume my work?

thanks in advance for your response.

this is addressed more or less, in this thread: https://www.expat.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=715735

it all depends on your negotiation with your current employer.

thanks @Aneesh for your quick response.
