When to leave after resignation - Non-EU

Post new topic

Kevin132

Hi there,

I was on a single permit in Malta for one year and a half. I resigned from my job some weeks ago and had my last day at work one week ago.

I am now planning to leave Malta in about three weeks time but I am not sure whether I can still stay here for that period. Can't leave before since my new job starts in 3 weeks.

Am I already living illegally here? Anyone knows what is the timeframe to leave the country after leaving your job.

Check what your ID Card validity says
You are allowed to Reside in Malta until the validity date of your ID card expires
Taxation is another story but I assume you are just asking for the duration of your stay
Hope this helps
