Training Employment Pass Eligibility

Post new topic

Hi, all. I am a law student from the Philippines who wish to do an unpaid internship in Singapore. I gathered that the employer must secure a Training Employment Pass on my behalf. However, I did not meet one of the three requirements as I am studying in an institution which is not among the list of acceptable institutions of MOM.

Any chance that anyone knows if there is any way that I can ask for an exemption from the said requirement? Or is there any other remedy which will enable me to do my internship in Singapore? Thank you so much!

There are no exemptions, but you could try a Training Work Permit (TWP) instead.

Hi, Beppi. Thanks for the response. Upon checking, I don't qualify for a TWP as well. Do you know if I am still required to secure a pass if the internship does not exceed 30 days? Thanks!

Better ask MoM or ICA if this is counted as work (then illegal) or not (then o.k.)!
