Canadian female - job offer from aramco

Hi everyone,

I have recently been offered a really good position at Aramco. However, it is a sole sponsorship; meaning my kids and husband cannot accompany me. My husband has also applied but has not heard anything back. Although I don't want to miss this opportunity, my kids are very young and I wouldn't want to be away from them. The recruiter said they can come visit but for a limited time. I have tried reaching out to Aramco but I was told thats the standard procedure when a female is hired. I am thinking of writing a letter to them explaining my situation to the hiring committee; I would have nothing to loose and they will know I am interested but experiencing a dilemma. I just wanted to know if you or anyone you know have experienced a similar situation? If yes, what would you suggest? Are there any ways around it? Thanks everyone.

Other people have posted about similar situations re: Aramco.  So far, I haven't heard of anyone being shown flexibility on this.

There are no ways around it if your company is not willing to help to sponsor your family.   The family can come on visit visas from time to time but it is your own cost.  They won't have medical coverage and the kids won't be able to study here without proper Iqamas.

As far as I know, Aramco is pretty inflexible.  It is your decision in terms of what is a priority for you. Personally, I would ask them to either provide this or you would walk away.
