Travelling outside europe without wp but with valid RP card

Dear all i have a question regarding my current WP situation.
I am a non-EU national working in Brussels.
i have recently changed my employer. and my  single permit process is under progress.

I already have received the work permit approval , now the application is under the Immigration for resident approval.

My work permit is valid till December 2019 and the validity of Resident permit (RP) is Jan -2020.
i will stop working for my current employer next month which is October 2019. As far as i know my current employer is going to inform the ministry that i am no longer working for them and my current work permit will probably be cancelled.

Now the issue is i have to travel to outside Europe in October end.
My question is that will i be able to travel and come back to Brussels using my current RP card which will still be valid, or cancelling my WP may have some kind of effect on my RP card as well?

Status of your WP should not affect the usage of your Residence permit so you should be good to travel. However as this is a new system of combined/single WP/RP procedure, please check with your cityhall for confirmation but imo you should be fine.

Thanks for your reply :).. i will try to go and ask in the city hall as well.

Hi vikas112dubey,

Can you please let us know when you got answer from city Hall about this , I have a similar situation.

Thanks

Hi  msanad ,

sure.
i will try to inquire in the commune . but the only issue is that if they give such information or not without appointment.
if i get something from them , i will convey for sure.
till now i have inquired with some people including the person who is dealing with my single permit process.
and as per his input i should not face any issue.

Hi Vikas112dubey,

I suggest if you don't have time to go to commune , you may drop an email , it will be more helpful and time saving , it also depend on your commune.

HI msanad
i don't think they reply to those mails,
but still i can try ..
i have already been to commune twice today (1000 Brussels) but did not get to the counter because of rush.
if you have any help desk email address please share , it will be helpful .

HI msanad  ,

I went to the commune twice last day and could not get the information.
so i tried sending them a mail(to Evere Commune). As i had no hope of a reply from the Commune 1000.
to surprise me i got the reply from them yesterday itself.
"Bonjour,

Vous pouvez voyager pendant la validité de la carte d’identité. N’oublier pas de prendre votre passeport avec vous quand vous voyager.

Bien à vous,"

apart from this i also called a third party consultant who is handling all these process for my company.
he also confirmed that i can travel with valid RP card.

I think this is assuring enough.
let me know if you also get any information about the same.

Thanks
Vikas
