Using public transport instead of cycling?

Hi,

I want to move to the Netherlands within 1 or 2 years. I have seen that the Netherlands is known for being very bike friendly and almost everyone use a bike in the Netherlands.

However, my problem is I don't like cycling and for me, it would be even worse when it's raining or during bad weather in general and I know, in the Netherlands rains a lot! So, my question is if I can use public transport instead of cycling. Will dutch people think bad about me because I don't want to use a bike? Is having a bike required for getting a job in The Netherlands?

Of course, I would choose living in Rotterdam or Amsterdam since both cities have metro, tram and bus.

Hi again.

Nobody will think badly of you should you chose to use public transport rather than a bicycle.

That's great then, thank you so much!
