is this a decent salary for living in saudi arabia?

I'm looking at a company and they've offered me at a min. $10,000 USD per month plus $2,200 USD a month for housing.

Is that a decent/livable wage to live on in Saudi Arabia?

SaudiUK

Yes the salary is descent.

You will live comfortably and safe money

Hi :)

Yes it's and housing is usually calculated (at min.) as 2 months worth of your salary, so what you've got is about right.

Just make sure to check the exact details of your contract and to check the company itself.

It's better to be safe than sorry. Once you are here, there isn't much that you can do and some companies promise "big" salaries but thing can be different once you are here.

So, make sure the contract covers you well and be compensated in case they wanted to terminate your contract or cut down your salary etc. I guess this is a general advice.

However, the bigger the company the more "safer" it's.

If you don't mind asking, which city and what occupation?

ashcroft

Thanks for the info.  I'd either be in Jeddah or Riyadh and the occupation is pilot.

ITpro

You're welcome :)

From the occupation stand point of view, I guess it won't make a difference which city.

However, Riyadh has the largest airport in the world which is King khalid international airport and it's a pretty one.

City wise though, Jeddah is more open and more fun :)

If you end up in Riyadh, know you have a friend here :)

Good luck :)
