Dubai or Brisbane

Hi

Just wondering if I could get some responses from people living in Dubai on this one. I may have the prospect of getting a job in Dubai over the next few months. At the moment my partner and I are living in Brisbane and getting on good but a move to Dubai would bring up a little closer to home (Dublin) and so we could se a little more of our family. We have been in Australia for the past 3 years and are not familiar at all about Dubai and the middle east.
At the moment is all just in the pipe line but it would be good to hear from maybe anyone who has made the move or has anything to add.
Our main concernt are the standard of living, cost of living, and genrally been able to enjoy life as much as we do in Brisbane as we cant fault it, jsut a bit far from home a times......
