Hi all!

I just moved to Angola, Luanda, and my company only provided me with a home but it is empty and now I realized how crazy is the cost for decent furniture in Angola! I never really like IKEA, but now I miss it more than ever...

Does anyone knows of any network (Craigslist type) where expats that stay for short terms can share/give/re-sell their furniture when they leave?

Any other tips in order to avoid Moviflor and so on and get decent furniture at a decent price in Luanda?

Thanks!!

Adrian

Hi Adrian, and welcome to Expat.com !

the classifieds section may help ;)

ebonita

I am planning on buying a few IKEA goodies and take then on the plane, its way cheaper then buying furtniture in Luanda.
Perhaps you can try and buy them in Namibia, in the capital, windhoek (I think its less then 2hours flight)...not sure how import tax works, let me know if you figure that out, am moving in less then 8weeks, thankfully sqatting at company accomodation but have to find my own place after a month or so.
All the best.
