Hello everyone,

I will move to Cambodia next November. I had some information on the forum in the past
for visa, taxes, etc...now I decided to move.

Now what is the procedure : is there a townhall in PP where I have to register. Once I will
have my flat ?

Then of course I will be happy to meet some expats. I am from Switzerland. I speak french, but
of course english and now I am in Spain where I have been learning spanish 3 months.
I have been a travel agent in my country 30 years but would be opened to work in another
field.

I visited Cambodia twice in the past, the last year I was in PP and Kampot.

But I will leave in PP because I will have to search a job and I like this city.

Thank you for your help  :)

Hello.

You don't have to register your residency, your landlord will do that for you.
PP is divided in districts called Sangkat where you will be registered. If you ever need a proof of residence or residency letter you go to the Sangkat where you live.

Hope you will have a nice stay.

Many thanks Joekhmer  :top:

One question regarding tax : In my country (Switzerland) we fill online a formular
and give our year income.

How does it work in Cambodia ? Do we also fill a formular ?

It would be great to explain me a little.

2) at work does the tax deduced from the salary ?

Have a nice day !

Yes the employer takes the salary tax and sends it to the Ministry.

You don't fill out a tax form if you are earning a normal salary. Only if you earn an exorbitant salary you might need to fill out a form and pay income taxes.

Cheers.

Joe
