Hi All,

My name is Jinith and currently work in Kuwait. I will be relocating to Dubai in two weeks time and will be working out of Jebel Ali. I have a son who is 4 and would be be putting him to school next year.

We are thinking of Global Indian International school GIIS in JVC or Springsdale in Al Quos. In both the cases we will need to get a house/apartment in JVC / Al Khail.

Looks like getting onto the metro line from both the places takes time using the public bus. It might take time until I get my driving license sorted out. What are the other options to get around from JVC / Al Khail area if anyone is aware of them . Please help.

Practically speaking, your only option is a taxi - whether the official RTA taxi or some driver you have done a long term arrangement with.

I would not consider Al Quoz as it on the total opposite side of where you are going to be.   JVC to Jebel Ali is one direction and JVC to Al Quoz is completely another plus riddled by traffic.  Get accommodation in JVC and put your kid in the school there; at least that would be an easy commute.  JVC to Jebel Ali (depending which gate) will cost you 30-40 AED one way by taxi with a drive time of 20-40 mins, again depending on which gate & traffic.
