Whether you’re a history buff or not, here’s a chance to learn about the history of the USA. Below are a few trivia questions to test whether you have the correct facts.

2.   Name of the national anthem, when and by whom was it created:  Star-Spangled Banner, lyrics taken from a poem by Francis Scott Key, music by John Stafford Smith, adopted on March 3, 1931

3.   Two eminent national historical figures:  George Washington and Abraham Lincoln

4.   National day:  Fourth of July

5.   The most important turning points in the American history:  The spring and summer of 1776 during which members of the Continental Congress began to cut the colonies’ ties to Britain.  These actions, together with the Revolutionary War, resulted in the Declaration of Independence of the United States of America.
