hello every one.  so am engaged to a swedish citizen and plan on moving to sweden. my question is in his previous relationship him and his ex tried applying for a residency permit which was denied. am just wondering if this will have a negative impact on my case. does he have a ban on applying with a new partner?

Hello,

In theory, this should not have an impact.

However, it would be interesting to work on the part that generated the refusal.

If its recent event that his ex got refused, it'll impact your case.
And also if the reasons for refusal are related to his socio/economic situation in Sweden (if they haven't changed) its likely that your case will be a negative result too.

The real question is ... was she refused because of discrepancies on her part or because of discrepancies on his part?
