ATM with HSBC

Post new topic

AB_Wayne

I have HSBC ATM and Credit card linked to ATM use issued from my branch in Hong Kong and have not had success in drawing out funds on many ATMs I have tried in Vung Tau and Airport, with the exception of Airport HSBC ATM dispensing requested funds.

I use these cards within Thailand, New Zealand and other countries outside of Vietnam with funds being withdrawn.
I have contacted HSBC/Hong kong and been cleared to use these cards in Vietnam.

Anyone with these same issue and how did you rectify

As I recall, someone posted a while back that they were forced to go inside the bank , and they had to do a credit card withdrawal.

Might have been Citibank.

I wonder if you and the OP are using the major banks here (Vietcombank, Sacombank, Agribank, etc).

Usually if I have troubles that an ATM, it's using one of the other little Banks no one's ever heard of

I have tried a number banking outlets with same rejection.
The same HSBC cards not accepted in Vung Tau, I have used in New Zealand and Kazakhstan recently
Are any HSBC ATNs located Vung Tau?

Not by that name.

However, there are two "International Bank - VIB" listings.

I had good luck at a VIB atm before, getting money from a rarely used card.

I'm guessing it's the best bet here
