Looking for best way to ship a small package from South Africa. Please help

The established international couriers, such as DHL are efficient and the parcel wont get lost, but the issue will almost certainly be customs duty, which the receiver has to pay before the package can be released.  Duty charges can be more than the items value as they are calculated on a cost + insurance + freight cost basis.

Don't use the postal service - the item may never arrive!

There are some well established companies that seem to be able to get around some of these charges, but they mainly specialise in shipping from UK or USA.  I don't know of any which include shipping from SA.

Maybe you can find a Kenyan returning home for Christmas, who can take it for you!
