Malaria is a big problem here but if you live in good location in a screened house and use repellent you cut down the risks.

Many Thanks hkann ; are you aware of any medication that gives long term prevention for children and adults

hkann

I don't think there is anything that you can take once, you usually have to take it every week.
Go on a website that deals with malaria and find out the most up to date medication.

How great it the hospitals in Ghana if you catch something like Malaria?  Or do one have to fly out to another country to be Hospitalized ?

hkann

I think you would be OK for malaria treatment. I would think about flying out if I had to have major surgery
