Hi good day/evening to everyone. I am janice from philippines. My boyfriend and I are planning to get married here in philippines. He will get his legal capacity in germany but we are wondering how long it usually takes to get that? Along with other documents that needed to be translated to english.

Thank you in advance!

Janice

You are asking this on the Germany forum, so I assume you want to know about how these things work in Germany (not your home country).
He can get his "Ehefähigkeitsbescheinigung" (certification of capacity to marry) at his local "Standesamt" (family registry). It is usually issued within a few days.
He can then have it translated at any certified translator, which should also not take longer than a week, but depends on the workload they have.

Thank you so much for that information. Appreciated 😀
