While I do speak Spanish, I personally prefer to watch and listen to media in English. So I watch Netflix, download US tv shows, etc.
I am fluent but the people on TV and Radio tend to use words I don't know and speak too fast for me so I find it too difficult and frankly when I watch or listen to media I want to enjoy myself, not work on my Spanish.
For news I get emails from an English newspaper re Costa Rica (amcostarica).

Where I live I can't even get the local stations free, without paying for cable tv which is too expensive and not worth it to me.

I'm not a media nut anyway; I watch maybe 2 hours of tv a day and never "channel surf" even in the USA.
