Coronavirus - South Africans travel to Mauritius?

MeeshaV

Good day,

I would just like to know, since South Africa has a few cases of coronavirus, are we still allowed to travel to Mauritius?

I'm supposed to book my ticket next month for July, however I heard that some people that came from Italy was advised to either return back home or stay in quarantine for about 2 weeks.

I'm only planning to visit my family for about two weeks so I can't afford to spens time in quarantine.

Does anyone have any info about South Africans entering the country?

Please assist.

Hi there,

As of now, there is no ban on travelers from South Africa, whether it's by air or sea route.

The countries on which Mauritius has issued a temporary travel ban are China, South Korea, Iran, Italy.

Some other countries that are likely to join this list should the situation continues to deteriorate are France (including Reunion Island) and Germany.

Thanks a lot, was a bit worried.

Maybe I will wait till June to book my ticket.

Rather be safe then sorry.
