Hi,

For expatriates, are you willing to go back home due to Coronavirus crisis?

I think no urgent situation currently, so in my opinion I will remain in Egypt...

Absolutely not, I want to stay here with my husband. Also I believe it’s worse in the US. To me, it’s much smarter anyway for people to stay exactly where they are instead of traveling home where they can just spread it further.

Hi Ben....just seen your post so this is a very late reply.......

I am not sure where "home " is for you ....for me it is UK,
and a lot has changed since the date of your posting .

However I live in kafre el sheikh......and when I knew numbers were rising within the UK with the SARS-CoV-2.......i felt a strong need to return to be near my family during this time .........

as "reported " numbers were low at the time in Egypt.

I managed to get out on a "bone shaker " of a flight on Cairo Air on March 29th.......how I survived that flight quite surprises me as a high percentage of the travellers were displaying a corona virus  (meaning the non leathal one ....colds...coughing sneezing etc  )  but lucky for me not the  now pandemic 19 strain.

And yes I self isolated for 14 days from an obvious sense of responsibility to others and my family.

So now that it has stabalised here  to some extent ....i now look to get back to my home in Egypt.....this is the only reason that i am on this platform to get some insite into what exactly is happening up at the Airport  (CIA) .....as I understand that there is some sort of isolation required of arriving travellers.

So ben....if you know anything about anything I will be happy to hear....as it is the airport situation that concerns me ......as I plan to fly back if it is possible at the end of this month of May......and need to know what to expect......all of which is not so easy to find clearly online.
