Overstay In Oman Due to covid19

Hi All,

I am currently staying in Oman on Express Visa. And my employment visa application is in process by my sponser. My Express visa expired yesterday but i couldn't travel back due to the travel restrictions. Further i am staying and waiting for my employment visa to be processed.
Is there any update regarding overstay fine waiver by Oman Govt Due to the Circumstances of Coronavirus?

Please let me know if there is any such official policy announcement by ROP as i am not able to find any yet.

There is a news I read on Muscat Daily that you can extend your visa online.
