Hello Expats,
would any American or non-EU Citizens be so kind as to explain what the requirements were to obtain a residence or business visa for Italy and how long it took to receive it?
I'm having difficulties receiving clear and precise information from the local sources here in Italy.
If you prefer you can also contact me through my email at ***
THANKS SO MUCH!

Unless you qualify as a young person for a 6 month work visa you will need a company to sponsor you to work here. In my experience many companies are reluctant to so this because of tough Italian employment laws. Like the US used to be there, is a quota on most employment areas. There are a few areas which are quota free, but you still need a sponsor. Good Luck
