Netflix

Netflix came up as a punchline on this weekend's

HBO program Real Time With Bill Maher.

From Maher's opening monologue...

"The U.N. met.  Putin did not show up.  He has

bigger problems at home.  Did you see this?

Putin, he had to call up the reserves now....

"He called up 300,000 Russian men.  Not good

for Ukraine, 'cause they're going to Ukraine.

"On the bright side, it greatly reduces

the number of people who are trying to

hack my Netflix account."

NFLX stock a major loser.

Less than a year ago, Netflix stock was selling for

about 700 US per share.

As of the close on Friday (September 23, 2022),

the stock had lost about two-thirds of its value

compared to that 2021 high.  It closed on Friday

at 226 and a fraction.

The S & P 500 is closing out its third consecutive

losing quarter, but few major stocks have

had a worse year than NFLX.
