I know that it will vary between Barangays but, in general, what is needed to get a Barangay ID card? Single foreigner renting.

I was told I did not need one because I have other picture ID such as driver's license (PA) or USA passport.

yup you don't need one. after your 59 days you will apply for your ACR-I Card which is your Alien Registration card. It is a national ID card.

most places accept it for senior discounts if you are 60 or older. but not SM

I have been told that during the quarantine the card will help with traveling between barangays.

Actually, I was thinking about getting a fake ID with a lower age so I don't break the over 60 stay at home rule.  :)

Yup 'blanco' will help!

I just need some clarification. Are you asking for info on getting a Barangay Quarantine Pass or a Barangay ID? For a quarantine pass, you just go to the barangay hall and ask for one.

For barangay ID requirements, search on your barangay's Facebook page. I don't think all barangays issue ID's. As far as I know, our barangay doesn't issue ID's. The document they issue which is closest to an ID is a Barangay Clearance.

Senior citizens are allowed to go out of their homes to get basic necessities and essential transactions like withdrawing money or paying bills during modified ECQ. My dad is a senior citizen. I often do the shopping for him. But sometimes he can be impatient. He goes to S&R, a produce stand, a pharmacy, or the bank by himself, bringing with him a quarantine pass. He did this even during ECQ.

He hasn't encountered any problems. If in case he gets stopped, he will just say that he's getting food and medication or going to an ATM.

As "FilAmericanMom" said.  "Are you asking for info on getting a Barangay Quarantine Pass or a Barangay ID?"

Just at the very beginning of the lock down 3/26.  My landlord asked me to get a "Barangay Card". I am aware of passes but I thought that barangay passes were no longer allowed.
I have to occasionally traverse 2 other barangays to go shopping for things not available nearby.  I travel by trike.  My thinking is that if I get stopped going, it would not be too bad as I could just return.  However, if I got stopped on returning, it would be difficult to get home.
So, I guess, I am looking for whatever is available to indicate where I live.  I have no form of ID that  has my address on it and my ACR card is two months out.  I am over 60 and live alone so I have to do my own shopping.

I'm confused!?$%&#@
Are you living in the Philippines now? Your profile says Thailand!
I also believe that the official receipt for your visa should have your address on it! Remember to keep every single visa receipt if they stop you they want to see the paperwork and could care less about the passport stamp! Also you will need them for your next visa so be sure to bring them with you! It will save time if you keep them in order because they will check that none are missing! Also keep in mind that most cash register receipts are thermal ink and will disappear within short time so take a photo to keep on your phone lol! So many important little things to learn and remember here! LOL!!!! Good Luck AA

I fixed my profile and yes I live in the Philippines after moving from Thailand.

Neither of my extension receipts have my address on them.  But thanks for telling me that I have to keep all them.  No one ever told me that.
With luck, I will need no more extension receipts after my current one (SRRV in progress).
