Hi Guys,
Just wants to check the process of importing goods from overseas.
I have a registered local company and wanted to import goods from China. The goods will be in a 40 foot container and to be unloaded at one of the Bangkok shipping ports then transport over to the warehouse. I have my own export agent over in China and now needs one import agent in Thailand.
I found and contacted a few local import agents and all quoted me a big wide range of service charges. My question is, is it just a matter of registrating my company at the port custom and im able to import the container in? (Of course with payment of Tax). Im willing to pay if any one who have done it is willing to guide me through in person. If not any answers will be very helpful. Thanks.

whatever, you need an agent as all docs are in Thai
also check the customs taxes quarantine holding etc
dont try to save a few bahts - do it properly as one thing wrong and they can hold up your shipment - maybe perishable items and so time is important
