does someone use this option already?

Rob HH

I know someone that is using the option, but don't know much about the process. PM if you would like to talk to them about it.

As far as I know, non-married couples are not recognised as spouses for visa purposes by the German authorities. They thus have to get other visa types on their own merit.
I haven't heard an option for short-term visa for unmarried couples. Maybe you can explain what you mean?

Is this some special rules due to the virus situation?
I don't think this is the normal procedure.

yes, i think it's only due to COVID closing the borders
