Hi

We have just reached Brussels last week. We are non-EU citizens. I am working as a researcher with the VUB and am on a Type D visa. It would be great if someone can tell me if my wife (D, family reunification visa) is allowed to work in Belgium?

Thanks

Officially me

I don't think it's possible for your wife to work in Belgium.
There might be other experts who can help you on this or you can check older posts.
Another thing : you can always wait for your resident card in which the employment status would be mentioned. In your case you might receive it in like 4 weeks( dunno the processing delays due to Covid-19).

Thanks a lot! I will check the older posts as well.

Hello and welcome on our forum,

The answer is YES. And it's a subject already discussed a lot of time. Have a look in older posts

Thanks a lot! I am sorry if my question is a repetition!
