Salary Structures & other Perks in Mauritius

I'm no expert, but some of his benefits should be:

1) Financial support for his children's (Underage) education. Some companies provide full coverage for expatriates who are pretty high up in the chain of command. Mid Level looks high enough for me.

2) Company car due to his position

3) Insurance coverage (Risk of lawful pursuit), Full medical/pension coverage for himself & his family.

4) His year end bonus package.

5) one month vacation per year.

5) Loan facilities for his home


As you know, the bargaining power depends a lot on what you can offer, i.e. experiences & proof of value-added project. I think  in the ad world, they call it an advertising portfolio.

Depending on the size of firm recruiting him, he can easily go up to 200k  plus all the benefits I mentioned if he's good at what he does.

They can even throw in free haircuts if he's worth the investment.lol

In Mauritius, it's not so much about salary than benefits.
