Dear All,
I have Information Technology (Bachelor's of Engineering) degree and i have applied for SCE on 25th Oct. Paid 500 and degree verification is done on 28th Oct.
I have been given 'Allied Engineering Specialist' and received a message 'The Membership number ****** has been issued, and is valid until - 2021/10/28 .Your application is now at the stage of verification of credentials,it is take 30 working days. You can print the membership card and certificate only after the notice (SMS) on completion of the verification.
But my iqama profession is Computer Programmer.
My questions are :
1. What is this Allied Engineering Specialist ? Will it cause any problem while iqama renewal ?
2. What is credential verification ? and how long it will take to complete and what message will i get after it gets complete ?
3. My Jawazaat and Yaqeen is still red in 'X' status.
Awaiting kind responses from experts and experienced members. Thanks in advanc
I have similar case but both my Yaqeen and Jawazat are green.
If it does not change for you, you should take your original certificates and goto SCE Branch and request them to open your online account and update it
@farooqbaig what is allied engineering specialist by the way ?
Same issue with me yaqeen and Jawazat are green. But iqama is of Engineer and now Saudi Council of Engineering change my status to allied engineering specialist.
Can I apply for permanent visa for my family
Same happend with me. What you did? My iqama profession is computer technician and in sce my profession has been change into allied engineering specialists. Will it create any problem?
Same case with me, I just converted from temporary to permanent membership, my yaqueen is updated same day that i renewed, but the jawazat is not.. anyone know how to solve our case?
Hi Mr. Faisal, did you renewed your iqama successfully having computer technician profession in iqama and sce membership type as Allied Engineering Specialist. If any one have such scenario or faced this situation, please let us know. regards.
I am graduate in BS Computer Science, and I have a certificate in Occupational Health and Safety, when I upload all my certificate in SCE and I select a membership as a technician, the SCE changed it into Allied Engineering Specialist, They said that they changed it becuase I am graduate in bachelors degree. My Certificate in SCE in is OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY & HEALTH SPECIALIST,
For computer science degree, SCE will assign Allied Engineering Specialist Category. Because you uploaded Computer Science degree in SEC.
I want to know sce is evaluating bachelors of science graduate degree is it for 3 years or 4 years for allied engineering specialist.
Its not about 3 years or 4 years. If you fulfill requirement for international BS program which is 120 Credit hours then there should not be any problem in the evaluation. Some university has 3 semesters in on year for them BS program is for 3 years and for some they have 2 semester in one year for them BS program is completed in 4 years.
Regards,
Yasir
It is a membership of professional accreditation for whoever has a bachelor's degree (or its equivalent) in one of the physical sciences supporting engineering sciences under a regular academic study program from a recognized college or university.

What's is this Allied Engineering Specialist?
It is based on bachelor's degrees in information, IT or technology fields.
You have a degree in Information technology.
Now, you need to change your profession.
Dear bro,
Can you please tell me that all sciences 4-years degrees can be registered in SCE and is there any issue of low salary in the introduction letter from sponsor. Your response will be appreciated. Thanks

Yes, it can be registered.
What is your profession?
And in introduction letter there will be no need to mention salary information.
My profession is Data Center Administrator in iqama, and degree in Environmental science. Will there be any issue? In qiwa system the profession is Data Center & live environment specialist but in iqama the profession is mentioned as Data Center Administrator. Confusing?

Nope.
Not confusing.
Ask SCE about your degree. They will tell you that which profession they would give you.
Then, tell that to your company if they have the capacity and ability to having that profession in the company.
If they do, get the SCE registration.
Ok bro thanks for your reply. But first I need to apply for SCE registration, yes? Because I am on open visa with local sponsor and usually the local sponsors are not having the kind of profession we need. What is your suggestion.

Here in KSA, having any profession is doesn't matter for the job/hiring.
They need education.
But for this SCE thing, your company should have the capacity otherwise they wouldn't be able to give you the introduction letter and without that letter you can't get registered in SCE.
Thank you bror. Appreciated.
Now there is another issue, There is no Allied Engineering option now, supporting engineering major (Specialists) . There is only Environmental Engineering,, my degree is sciences,, what you advise about this, no bachelor of sciences option,,,
Any other friends in the group can advise plz. Thanks

Have you asked SCE about it?
They can tell you about it according to your subjects.
I had Technician on SCE but Electronic Engineer on Iqama but never faced any issue. Today after membership renewal Technician is changed to Allied Engineering Specialist. I believe its better than Technician but my iqama is still Electronic Engineer. No worries if your case is like mine.
@Arbabharoonayaz Yes you can download SEC letter for specifically visa issuance from your dashboard and go for visa
I have a query,
My current Iqama profession is Technician,
I have done BSEC (Bachelors of Science in Electronics and Communication), and SCE has given me Membership type as "Allied Engineering Specialist," i requested to change to Engineer.
As per the above mentioned Membership type, what iqama profession can we get and can Iqama profession be changed to Engineer ?

-@NEOM BSEC
Nope.
Profession will be same as per SCE registration.
today my degree verified and certificate issued,
on the certificate it is written
Membership category: Specialist
Specialisation: Science of Electrical and Electronics
Renewal fee is 250 per year.
What profession will be given on IQAMA?
it will stay as technician.
if technician, i was paying 200 per year earlier, then what is the benefit?

The profession will be as per SCEr egistration.
And what benefits do you want?
Your profession is good enough for everything.
@muhammadhussain33 I have civil.engineering degree with 9nyears Currently my profession project engineer and I'm going on exit and company is provide me new visa with environmental specialist I hope there is no issue with this as this discipline is from civil engineering domain
previously my profession was different in SCE now its converted it to Allied Engineering Specialist as my bachelor's degree is is of two years from year 2001-2003 and they told me it must be three years or more and i told them that at that time it was two years offered to me. I just checked today they changed my profession from technician to Allied Engineering Specialist and my Iqama profession is General System Analyst is it a good sign for me or do I have to do anything? My degree is Bachelor of Computer Science
You don't need to do anything. Make sure to renew your SCE membership to facilitate the renewal of your iqama ID card.
@Sajjad Janjua for Bachelors of computer science degrees they are assigning "Alied Engineerinf Specialist" the only thing is now you have to pay SR.250 instead of SR.200 for one year renewal (SR200 for technician category and SR.250 for engineering category). Better to renew membership for maximum available years like 3 to 4 years if you plan to stay here for 4 years to avoid any problem in future. As long as your SCE membership is not expired and is Valid your Iqama will be renewed provided your company is fulfilling the Saudization percentage in IT.
for Bachelors of computer science degrees they are assigning "Alied Engineerinf Specialist in SCE but in absher computer science information security. If this make any problem in feature if they announce saudization. OR I need to change profession and what profession? Tell me permanent solution to avoid from this saudization.

@vinothkumarexpatcom
In any ways there will be 100% saudisation in next few years which is currently 70%. So being computer technician, Software programmer, Software Engineer, Database administrator, Information Security Analyst, System Analyst will not make any difference for now as long as it is 70% once they become under 100% saudization then the Iqamas will not be renewed for such professions.
@decentmale Thank you so much for the information you provide.
@vinothkumarexpatcom Just to add it here that some contracting companies are hiring expat IT Professional and providing these IT human resources to companies which cannot or unable to directly hire IT professional to maintain the balance of 70% Saudization.
Hi. I have a Question. I have applied for Computer Science Specialist. My degree is Stamped from HEC and MOFA (Pakistan) but it says it is under verification. Is it possible to change the profession now ?
