I am a Canadian with a German passport who is interested in moving to Sweden. Primarily I am interested in the practicalities of doing so, mostly as they pertain to the basics of life. And at the top of the list is How will I fair for employment in the construction industry (or any other industry for that matter) during the period where I would be learning to speak Swedish. I speak English at a very high level and have also taught myself to a high intermediate level in Spanish. I know how to learn a language, but I will need to work in the interim.

Any opinions or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Derek

Hello, As an EU citizen you have a right to come over as a jobseeker and stay for some six months or so, so if you have the possibility to do so you can see the big picture in your own eyes. And who knows things may will go in your way as you wish.  Good luck!
