A Question Regarding Employment Process

I am afraid that I did not get you fully correct. But if you have arrived here on a work permit you can work already. Is it like you have an appointment with Ausländerbehörde to extend your visa.

Thank you for your reply and yes this is absolutely the case. So I arrived with a work visa and I will apply to the Ausländerbehörde to extend my visa and to initiate the process for a blue card application.

So in this case, can I
1) Start working?
2) Open a bank account and get paid?
3) Get insured?

Or should I wait until my appointment with Ausländerbehörde?

I was in the same situation an year ago. But difference was I already signed the German employment contract before applying for visa. (when I was in India).
If it's just a extension of you work permit / application of blue card. You can surely work in Germany as
1) you entered germany with an work permit (not job seekers visa)
2)  If you didn't switch your job after coming to Germany.

Generally, having an appointment with the Ausländeramt, even if that is after the expiry of your current visa or permit, allows you to continue with whatever the visa/permit says - i.e. in your case work and earn.
After all, it is not your fault that they are overworked, inefficient and slow.
