New company can't submit new EP application silmutanenous EP renewal

Post new topic

-I got new job offer, signed the offee letter and new company is kick starting to apply for new work pass.
-somehow error msg saying cant submit new application due to existing approval/ pending submission
-apparently current employer submited a renewal on my behalf just 2 weeks ago (didnt expect them to renew so early as I still hv 4 months before my existing EP expired)
-i really want the new job but i cant take the risk of resigning from current company or ask current company to cancel the pending IPA.
-what would be wise for me to do? Kindly answer.

You have exactly two options:
1. Ask the new employer to wait with the EP application until the renewal process is completed. (They might then doubt your motivation to join them - otherwise why renew?)
2. Ask the old employer to cancel the renewal process. (This is basically equivalent to resigning.)

Hi beppi, sorry to ask you here. Maybe you’ll have any idea. My current spass is expiring jul2022 and got a new offer fr a new company. They applied for my new spass 3days ago but when i called MOM and checked system, I don’t see any pending one. Issit normal? And how long do they usually take to approve

Whitesneakers: I encourage you to read existing forum discussions about these topics before you post, as your questions have been addressed numerous times. There is even an entire (sticky) thread about how long processing can take!

This is answered already on your previous multiple post.. Normally new application results will come around 2 weeks and most of the time the result is Rejected first

If same case above your company need to submit an appeal and wait minimum of 3 weeks to 1 month

Oops sorry for missing that! Thank you so much for the response!
Most of the time rejected for new applications for first timers or for those with existing pass already?

At the moment, the rejection rate is very high for all.
