Hey guys,

I am a new student here I came in September last year, I am starting to learn Dutch, but I am no way near being good enough to work in a dutch environment, I have been trying to find something since October, but every job requires either dutch or french and sometimes both, where can I find a website or something so I can apply for student jobs, I live in Leuven. Any help is appreciated.

Hi, I started by looking in vdab my Dutch was so bad but I got the job. I worked in hotels kamermeisje and since then my Dutch has improved.

KAIS_90

@Jaci Thank you, did you tell them that you don't speak dutch back then? and although I have experience in hotels with corona I doubt they need staff. And again thank you.

Jaci78

Yes! I told them I had basic Dutch and that I understood, main problem was speaking. Luckily for me they needed people because it was Sumer time and where I live most tourists were English speaking.

KAIS_90

Yeah sadly I am not that lucky, non the less thank you.

Jaci78

Listen it’s not that you not lucky. It’s the timing is not good. Have faith, focus, learn your Dutch and be persistent.

KAIS_90

Thank you. I will do just that.
