Hello, does anyone have information on the processing times/schedule for the integration course required the long-term residence?

I registered for the course in July last year, completed interview and forms and was told to wait. Since nothing happened, I followed up with the person who processed my application, but he kept telling all sorts of excuses - they have a backlog, I'm on a waiting list and it should be organised soon, etc. His latest response was that courses will be organised and start in January, but nothing happened again and I am extremely concerned about wasted time.

I am wondering just how long does it take to get into this course and finish it? Thank you.

Hi..

Oh i am worried now hearing your struggle... i had my interview with them just this morning..
The lady was very nice , but she told me that because of the covid things are a bit slow and will take couple of weeks or may be two months to even get a slot for the Stage 1 classes online..

will keep you posted and do keep us posted with your progress as well...

Well, I sent another follow-up and again received a generic reply that there is no start date for the course at the moment and they will keep me updated, nothing specific.

I already heard about Covid slowing things down (from many places, not just this department), it's a good excuse but one-sided, because nobody gives me any additional time because of it. I wish I could go to Identity Malta and say that due to Covid everything slowed down in my life, so please give me additional half a year to sort things out!

Julia... so true... its all one sided.. i feel what you are saying... the companies are exploiting this situation to cut salaries even if their particular business has not suffered much.... what a shame.. but we just have to bear ..

Where are you from ?
