Leasing a Car with no Credit History

Guest123078

Hi all,

I am currently living in the UK but will be moving to Stuttgart soon and will need to lease a used car as soon as I move to commute to work. That means that I will be asking for credit without having any credit history in Germany (i.e. no SCHUFA score). Is that possible or will I be forced to pay upfront?

I don't know about the requirements of car leasing companies, so you better ask them directly. But I have never heard of used car leasing - normally the vehicles are new.
An alternative is of course buying a used car. Almost all drivers here own their vehicles, leasing is more common for company cars, because the leasing provider covers all repairs, services, etc.
