Hi
I want to send money from the Philippines to the UK can anyone advise what’s the best bank to use ?
Thanks

Much?  Can you prove you have brougt in at least what you are trying to send out?  Otherwice it can be problem to get approval from bank.
I don't know when from Phils, but to Phils transfer services other than banks approve some.
I don't know if it's same when sending, but when it's carrying, then Phils allow much more when it's dollars than pesos.

Not realy.it depends on how much the rate of pound is.The more people send money out the country is less  money being spent in the philippines.Maybe it could be a gov't rule.!!

Yes. A basic rule it's allowed to move out smaller amounts without proving anything, while ffor biger amounts it's mormaly max what you can prove you have brought in.
(At least it was like that when I checked laws some years ago.)

Paypal instead of bank.

Does that function?  How?

I haven't used PayPal since around 2008. Back then several people earning good at their websites, customers paying to PayPal, then PayPal  STOPED the payouts at LEGAL earnings just because PayPak found it suspiusious good earnings, but it was just some internet skilled people who were in frontline of developmemt. So they got very fustrated when they didn't get their money...

E g one success was an earlier failing "overgrown teenager" , who lived  of his mother in her basement being at internet. Then  he made some reviews of mobiöle phones, just because he liked such, the popularoty of the website grew so mobile suppliers started sending him their new mobules for free just  to get reviews published at that website  It made he started earning as some "western" lawyers' level   :)

That's a good idea, but I'm not sure that Paypal can "link" to a Philippines bank, like you do with a US bank.  You have to link before you can transfer funds.

Anyone tried it? Like with BPI or BDO?

I have my Union Bank linked to my Paypal account.
U can check out Moneygram and Western Union , not sure if they have app that u can download or just go to there website.

:top:    Have you triebi amounts? I wonder if the bank stop it if they notice?? because moving out big amount at same time i illegal (except if can prove such amount is brought in by same person.)

Does it function with big amount too?
Some such money transfer services have max limit when moving money TO Phils, so I guess they have for moving money out too.

You could try to open an HSBC peso account here in Phils, put all your money there and then withdraw it £ sterling in the UK.

Damn USA has forced bankss in other countries to  make it hard for honest people to move biger amounts between countries   :dumbom:  "to stop terrorists". I doubt they have stoped a single terrorist by this, but have been a pain in the arse for others. I have spend almost two months trying to get PROVEN my money to the Philippines for a business fiinanciing...

((No and No   from two banks, not questioning the first step, but they refused to invesigate the second!!! . In the third bank are two steps approved fiinaly last week, but not the last step. So it seem I will have to try a fourth alternative,, which have to investigate the two first steps again they said  even when  they are the Phone bank section of same bank as the one which has approved two steps!!!  :nothappy:
But "uckily" the seller of the real estate with business, which we are buying, is even slower  :)  at fulfilling the two conditions we have to the deal. The harder one he solved finaly last week, but the simple he hasn't solved in months!

Do they let you?   That's illegal in Philss law if more than litle or more than you can prove you have got in.
